It Takes A Child

Children are amazing don't you think?!

It takes a child being brought into this world to make you change yourself for the better.
It takes a child being brought into this world to make you strive to make their life on earth a peaceful one.
It takes a child that is full of reverence to make you humble.
It takes a child who is covered in sludge to be grateful that we have running water and soap.
It takes a child who is screaming at the top of their lungs to make you realize you aren't as patient as you once thought you were.
It takes a child who tries their hardest to accomplish something to make you realize nothing needs to be perfect.
It takes a child who is loving and nurturing to make you notice that you have done your job right.
It takes a child who is hurt to make you stop and put your life on pause for a few minutes.
It takes a child that isn't perfect to make you smile.

Patience, humility, nurturing, tenderness, love... these are the things parents need.
Smiles and laughter is all a young spirit needs for us to see the joys in being a part of their lives.
